Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum order value?

Our minimum order value is one of the lowest in the industry, just £20.

How are the boxes supplied?

All of our boxes are delivered flat-packed, ready for you to assemble. They are cut-to-shape and creased ready for you to assemble them.

Can you assemble my boxes for me?

Unfortunately, we do not offer the service of assembling your boxes before we send them, as this would vastly increase the size for shipping. All boxes are cut to size and creased ready for easy self-assembly.

Can you print white ink?

Unfortunately, we do not offer white ink printing on any of our products.

If you need white in your design then we would recommend choosing a white product/material rather than kraft/brown. If you upload a logo with white onto a kraft/brown product then the white will be removed automatically and you will see the effect on screen.

How much do you charge for delivery?

To see our current list of delivery options, please see our Service & Delivery Options page.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we only ship to mainland UK. We cannot ship to Northern Ireland, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Please see our delivery page for more information.

How fast are your turnaround times?

We aim to despatch all orders within 5-7 working days of confirmed payment unless it's for a very large quantity. Please see our Service & Delivery Options page for our current service and delivery choices.

Are there any setup or design fees?

Here at Profile Packaging we are proud to say that we have no hidden charges. To keep ordering simple, all that you pay is the cost of the products, delivery and VAT on the total. That means no origination fees, no setup fees and no design fees!*

*For a very small number of orders where customers provide a design that is unusable or require small changes to a design, we do offer a chargeable artwork service to redraw or recreate designs for you. This design service includes 1 amendment, but any additional amendments will incur further charges.

How much do your products cost?

All of our prices are based on the product size and the chosen quantity. The more you buy, the cheaper each item becomes. As the size of each product is different, we don't have a static price list. Instead, you can get an instant quote by filling out our easy to use quote form. You'll get a price immediately that you can print or email directly from the page. If you want to order online straight away, simply choose your product and follow the order process!

How can I pay for my order?

There are 4 different methods of payment that you can choose from on our website:

  • Credit / Debit card
  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer
  • Cheque

The Credit / Debit card and PayPal options are an instant payment, causing no delay to your order. Bank transfer can take between 24-72 hours to be confirmed and cheques may take several working days to clear. If you choose to pay by bank transfer or cheque your order will be placed on hold until payment is received or your cheque has been cleared.

How does your service compare to others?

Our quality of service is the best in the industry and we strive to keep it that way. We also offer some of the fastest production times in the industry. At Profile Packaging we offer a reliable, friendly service and we invite you to give us a call at any time on 01790 729 900 (new customers) or 01790 729 901 (existing customers).

How long have you been in the industry?

We have been in the printing industry for more than 40 years, gathering a vast amount of professional knowledge that we can use to help you create the perfect printed packaging for you or your company.

Other aspects of promotional printing that we can provide you with include Stickers, Name Badges, Printed Pens, Heat Seal Transfers, Signs & Graphics, Labels and Workwear.

Do you supply a digital proof before printing?

If you order your packaging on our website, a digital proof will be shown on screen before your product is added to your shopping cart. Please check this carefully to ensure everything looks correct before approving the design.

If you are ordering a box and you have chosen any of the following options, then you will be required to approve a further 3D proof before your order will be put into production:

  • A repeated image/logo across the entire outside of your box
  • A single image printed across the entire outside of your box
  • Any print on the inside of your box

Once your order is placed, one of our graphic designers will create a 3D artwork of your box. This 3D proof will then be emailed to you as a 3D HTML file which can be viewed in any modern PC or Mac browser. Only once this 3D proof is approved will your boxes go into production, so please check it carefully and approve the design as soon as you can to avoid delays. Artworks need to be approved in writing, so the easiest way is to simply reply to the email.

How do you print the products?

We print all of our products using state of the art, high resolution digital printing machines. We print using CMYK inks but the exact print method differs depending on the product chosen. For more details, please see the Technical tab on the relevant product page.

I don't have a logo or design to upload to your website. Can you recommend where I can make a logo or design?

Our website allows you to upload an image or design and place it onto various different products. If you don't already have a logo, image or design in mind, we would recommend that you try visiting www.canva.com/free

Canva is a free-to-use online graphic design tool that can help you to create a design or logo using one of their thousands of free templates. Once you have created your design on Canva, click on the "Share" button, then "Download", then choose "PDF Print" in the "File type" box and click the "Download" button to download it to your device. You can then upload this PDF file to our website and place your order.

How do you prefer my artwork / logo to be supplied?

When designing your packaging online, the website allows you to upload .jpg .jpeg .png .gif .pdf .eps and .ai files. Via email, we can accept logos and images in almost any format, just send us the best quality logo you have and we'll be able to produce the best possible result.

As a general rule, our preferred file formats are .pdf .ai and .eps. Other common file formats that we can accept include .jpg .jpeg .doc and .docx. As previously mentioned, we can open almost anything. In the unlikely event that you send us a file we cannot open, we will contact you about your options. We can currently accept files via email up to around 10MB.

Does the website check the quality of my artwork?

Our website allows you to upload .jpg .jpeg .png .gif .pdf .eps and .ai files. When designing your product, if you upload an image, the website will display a quality message. This check is based on the resolution of your image and can give one of the following results:

  • Very Poor - We don't recommend that you print this image at the current size.
  • Poor - Consider making the image smaller or uploading a higher resolution image.
  • Okay - Consider making the image smaller or uploading a higher resolution image.
  • Good
  • Excellent

If you upload a .pdf .eps or .ai file then the system is unable to determine the quality of your artwork. Because it is a document rather than an image it could contain different images and vectors of varying qualities and sizes. For this reason we simply show the message:

Image quality cannot be determined for PDF, EPS and AI files.

In all cases we will print the file as supplied. If you are unsure about the quality of your .pdf .eps or .ai file then please contact us, attaching the file and letting us know the size that you intend to have it printed. We will review your file and let you know what options are available.

How long can I store the stickers before applying them?

Under normal circumstances, we recommend that our stickers are applied within approximately 6 months of receipt. They should be stored flat in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight.

For more details, please see the relevant technical datasheet.

What are the minimum recommended sizes for printing barcodes and QR codes?

For EAN-13 retail barcodes, the standard size is 38mm wide x 25mm high. The minimum size we recommend for EAN-13 barcodes is 30mm wide x 20mm high.

For complicated QR codes we recommend a minimum size of 30mm wide x 30mm high. For less complicated QR codes we recommend a minimum size of 20mm wide x 20mm high.

Below are examples of a very simple QR code (left), a typical QR code (middle) and a very complicated QR code (right):
